There are many sources of information in whick our conscious and subconmscious minds take in data on a daily basis.  In the spiritujal realm, there is no such thing as neutral.  Both God the Holy Spirit and Satan will be bring into our conscious minds all that we have allowed, both good and bad, to enter and be stored there for future reference and usage.  It is by no means a coincidence that certain images and thoughts enter our minds at just the "right" time to influence our thoughts and inevitable behaviors. Develloping the discernment to know what is from God and what is from Satan is a fundamental  part of the post-salvation spiritual life.  We must not only take in and apply Bible Doctrine, but our souls must be constantly purged of anything that contradicts it if we are to develop and appl;y the "mind of Christ (1Cor. 2: 16 NIV) when life turns up the heat.
